A Tribute to Bernard

I bought a baby duck on July 12th. I named him Bernard. :) I kept him in the apartment, until Callie decided that she was not thrilled about it. So, he had to be moved. Luckily, my dear friend Corbin let me keep him in his backyard for a few days.

Bernard liked the corner of Corbin's fence.

We let him play around in the sink.

Play time in the tub.

Corbin was not really thrilled about the duck either...he doesn't like birds.

Bernard's First home.

He really liked Callie's Spiderman bowl. But don't tell her that.

We sent him to a new home. He really enjoyed his friend, the chicken.

Another him and chicken picture
Unfortunately, he was to be transported one more time from his second home to a nice large farm, when he was dropped on his neck and killed. RIP August 4th, 2009

Thanks Andrew (for the memories) ;)

Swimming with Jonthan

He is so cute :) Got to love him!

Two Years?

So I went on a date with a good friend Corbin in my ward. He got a job in the real world and he wanted to celebrate that so we went to P.F. Changs for dinner. It was fun. The food was delicious...first time I had been there. I was impressed. Nice Pick Corbin. Anyway, afterwards, he wanted to go to Murray for a comedy show there. He gave a nice disclaimer saying he hdadn't been there in a year and he thought it was funny then. The show was called "James Blonde." We knew within 30 seconds of James Blonde walking on stage that it was going to be a long night. I wouldnt let Corbin leave though, so we sat through the whole thing. They were all like older people that were kind of funny...but most of it was painfully dumb. Anyway, after the show James blonde comes back on stage and starts celebrating people's birthdays and things like that. Corbin tried to raise his hand to embarass me and say it was my birthday but I wouldn't let him. A few minutes in, they asked if there were any first dates there...I, Thinking that there would be a bunch, yelled, YEAH! To my complete surrpise however, no one said anything except for me. I ducked under the table and the spoltlight came over and sat on Corbin whose date was hiding under the table. haha.
After realizing that they weren't going to leave us alone until I got back up, I came up. Everyone laughed. Corbin had this panicked look on his face. It was quite amusing--later. Right then, we both had the deer-in-headlights look. Anyway, the guy asked if it was our first date or we were dating or married. Corbin popped out, "Married." He didn't say it with a lot of enthusiam though, so the guy commented on that. He then asked what our names were. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, Corbin was choking on lemonade and I was laughing to hard to response when he asked what our names were. He then determined that we had forgotten them, and went on to ask if there were any annivesarys there. When no one else responded, he came back to us and asked when ours was. Corbin just said, uh... and I yelled "tomorrow." The guy ripped again on Corbin for not knowing. Then he proceeded to tell us to dance while the entire audience sang "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" to us. It was so enbarrassing. I have never seen Corbin so flustered or speechless, but then again, I was in the same boat. We plotted to run out as soon as the song was over. Towards the end of the song however, James Blonde wanted to see a big smooch. Just about as panicked as we could be, we ran out and drovev back to Provo shocked. Haha. I had a friend at that show...wonder what he was thinking. LOL.
Saturday night, after the Llama fest, Kim, Sam and I went over and decorate his apartment with a bunch of Happy Anniversary crap. It was fun. I ran in to see his reaction and took the random picture. Only Chase saw me though. Corbin didn't. Anyway, so, as you can see, I have been married for over two years.
who would have guessed? :)

Llama Fest July 25th

Okay, I know its a couple weeks old, but I went to the Llama Fest and it was amazingly bizzare. It was at the Indian Temple that they do Festival of Colors at and it was fascinating. The missionaries were working there for service and they were leading the llamas around. That was intersting as well. It was weird to see the missionaries serving at the Indian temple, but hey, I am sure they made some sort of impression as they were walking around with llamas.
The cool Indian elephant outside of the temple. Obviously I was taking the picture :)

This is Dennis. He ran away after his agility course and they yelled at us to grab him. They then asked if we could watch him for 5 minutes. So we held Dennis for about ten minutes and then finally handed him off to a missionary walking by (who looked confused as to why he would want our llama). Anyway, it was interesting.

He wouldnt kiss me back. Can you believe that? How rude.

The girls in my group.

The temple itself is beautiful! It is a creme while and has amazing designs and such on the walls. The inside isn't as cool as the outside but that's okay I guess. :D

The group--minus me.

Oh Paul...what a guy. :)

Provo River

For Scott Gale's birthday we went and floated Provo river. It was freezing cold and I was purple and shivering violently by about halfway through. Some of us had to stay back and help a girl that was having some problems not being able to move so I even managed to dump myself out. haha.
