Snowboarding

So my freshman friend Koda wanted to teach me how to snowboard so we went up to Sundance last night. It was awesome but sometimes kind of painful. He said I was the fastest learner he had ever taught so that was cool. It was awesome when I started to figure out how to balance and I could relax a bit more while going down the hill. I took some pretty funny spills throughout the night. I had several guys ask if i "was the one who went flying back there." Yes, I made an impression on people. ;) I was pretty excited about not getting hurt and we went up once more to the top of the mountain and boarded down to the parking lot. I went the whole way without falling (except for off the lift--I couldn't seem to master that and even knocked others over as well.) Sorry poor souls.

I saw Jeff Schwarting and Rob Perry up there along with Clark and his wife. I first saw them on the lift.

I also saw a guy I work with at the RB and a friend from home (did not get a picture of her). The guy in the back though is my new friend Travis...well, at least for that lift ride.

I am trying to take the easiest way...naturally. ;) (PS...we didn't follow the sign this time)

It was awesome. Anyway, so we rode down to the parking lot and i saw this deep hole on the ground and decided that I was definitely going to biff it but saw the snow around and didn't really care. Well, it was not snow around it...it was a thin layer of snow over cement and i fell right on my knees. Needless to say, they are swollen and I was glad we were done for the night.

Here was me today at work. Ice Ice Ice! MY knees hurt! :)

Welcome home Cameron! It seems like it has been so long and yet not long at all. Thank you for serving an honorable mission. You make me proud. :)

It is not a picture, but I really liked this video that we watched at institute tonight. There is something that we all can work on included in it. It is kind of long but totally worth it.

Yesh...they taught us how to lead music by waving licorice in the air. It was quite effective if I say so myself. :)

Saturday #2

I went on a date with my friend Jackson. He is awesome. But, this is what happens when we going shopping together...

Saturday

Well JJ, Jessica, and I have been preparing for a 5k for months. We were pumped and ready to go early saturday morning and gathered to make the journey to the Riverwoods Mall. We arrived and were dismayed to find noone there. We then proceeded to ask about 40 people (including tapping on their windows to ask) and drove around for 40 minutes before finally giving up. We went back to JJ's to make a deliciously unhealthy meal consisting of eggs, bacon, and sausage. Here is our pictures showing the effort we made to bring honor to our families. :)

My new Olympic Dreamboat.

Since we have been trying to dedicate any free time to watching the Olympics...and I found a new love. Nobunari Oda. Yes, he is Japanese ladies and gentlemen and the descendant of a Japanese warlord...one of the very ones that I was taught about in my classes here at BYU. Quick history lesson, Nobunaga Oda was the one of the first successful war lords who tried to unify Japan. :) So, if I married him I would have famous incredible Japanese ancestry. Okay, I know, pretty weird...but just consider him my celebrity crush!

February 18th 2010

Here is today's picture. Emily, in the pink, is the star of our show...well, I guess Jordan might be trying to steal her thunder. (Just kidding) I thought his face was hilarious though so this is a good idea of what the Hatch family is like. :) Thanks for having a birthday though Em so we could all have some time together!

Today Christina, Callie and I went up to Park City for our cousin Emily's birthday. It was a lot of fun. She is cute and funny. We had 5 other cousins up there as well so that was a lot of fun to see them again. It was a little reunion. We shopped at the outlets as well and then are at Red Rock Grill. It was okay food and the company was awesome. I decided to add some other pictures to this post as well so that you could see the whole group and the fun pictures that we took.

February 17th

After my date with JJ, I stayed with him until his band show that night. It went until eleven and I was so tired so weird things began to happen. Somehow I put put at the bottom of this pile. You can see the top of my head and my two hands which are being held out by Jessica and the guy in plaid. It was a long but fun day.

New idea.

So, since I am giving up facebook for the next 40 days (technically 39 since today is just about over), I am going to try to upload a picture a day to show what I am doing with my time. So, for the next forty days, I will try to pick a picture that sums up my day. I may or may not be in them. Probably more not in them than in them. :) Enjoy

Relief Society Activity

I passed our fliers for our joint Relief Society activity. We heard that they boys were doing something for us girls for Valentine's Day so we decided to make and decorate cookies for them. About eight people showed up...out of 100. But it ended up being okay as everyone would have had to sit there and not decorate as many cookies. haha

I asked each girl to look like she was in love...this was the result...

Kristina went in to the MTC last wednesday. I got to watch her get set apart and dropped her off at the MTC as well. It was a lot of fun but sad too :) She will be awesome.
